Ok, a couple of things. You should have put this in the General Help Section or Drive train section, don't be surprised if it is move to one of those sections by a mod. It would have gotten a faster reply and also would have been notice a little quicker. I not busting your balls just informing you. Now on to your problem.
1st - The Master Cylinder is located on the firewall and the Slave is located on the transmission inside the bell housing.
2nd -
If you are trying to bleed the system you need to have someone else help you or get a Mity Vac. Here is a stcky that will help you do it this way:

OR
If you are doing without the Mity Vac:
1. One person has to sit in the drivers seat in order to press and hold when needed.
2. 2nd person will have to transfer between the bleeder and check the master for fluid level.*
3. Hook up a piece of hose and a bottle to catch fluid drained.
4. Open bleeder valve on the slave (sticks out of the bell housing). Have the person depress the clutch pedal several times * until fluid comes out in a steady stream. Once a steady stream comes out have them hold it down. Close bleeder (They may have to pull clutch out because it may not come back up until it get's enough fluid into the slave).
* - Check fluid through out the process. It will empty quickly!!! I almost want to say have a third person to watch this so that the person on the bleeder doesn't have to move back & forth.
It can take a while to get it bleed out (took me almost 2 hrs the first time)

Red- 1999 Trans Am
old post I know but I was puzzled by what you said, you said your car has an external slave mounted to the firewall? What car? It shows a 02 TA in ur sig but our cars slave cylinders slide over the input shaft and bolt to the front of the trans.. to remove it you need to pull the trans first.
