    GMHTP -- 10 bolt rebuild

    I was sort of shocked to open the new GMHTP (August 2010 issue) and see that they are rebuilding a 10 bolt for their STi Killer project car. They installed an Eaton LSD and Richmond 4.10 gears. Nice article, but not sure how long it'll last in a car that will see both track and road course duty. Their logic was that the 10 bolt is lighter, more efficient and a lot less costly than an upgrade. It also appears that they kept the stock c-clip setup and factory 28 spline axles.     ^ Thats what i'm saying. Ya most ppl do learn the hard way but i wouldnt expect GMHTP to be most ppl. Ya go ahead and throw some DR's on there to while your at it GMHTP

    it is to be a road course car and not a drag car.
    They are putting a crate LS6 in it with mild bolt on's I do believe.

    The reason why they are calling it project STi killer is that they are making a road course car that can best an STi.

    If I recall, it will also see 1/4 mile duty as well.
