Gear swap
anyone did a gear swap. I havent purchased gears yet but gonna replace my 3.23's with 3.73's and was wondering if this is an exhaustive operation? If you have done it stop in and let me know how you did it. I tried looking on ls1howto and installuniversity but no luck.

Its not easy! How much automotive knowledge do you have? (not that u have 2 be a genius) Do you have a dial indicator and basic tools? Most people wont attempt it or they have and screwed it up! Even some techs cant do it. I installed 4-11s in my 69 Chevelle with 500 horses and have no whining or problems ( and I beat on it ). Just post your questions and almost everybody will have some good advice to add!

Take it to a shop and get them installed that way if it's not right and they wind or howl you can take it back and get it fixed....
