For the price of the Centerforce you've listed, you can probably get a Textralia.

I have close to the same power as you and I run a Spec Stage 3+. Zero issues to date. Rated for 850 lb-ft of torque.

Care to elaborate? Is it too stiff for you, or are you having some other issue? I noticed when I went from 330rwhp with it to 500rwhp, that I'm having a small issue with clutch disengagement now (forgot about that in my original reply). I can still shift into 3rd at WOT every time, but I can't shift as hard/fast as I could before the power upgrade. It feels as if it takes a slight second to disengage before I can shift. Only at WOT pulls though and only in 3rd.
I don't have the T56 Magnum, but my T56 has been built and upgraded by RPM Transmission.
I spoke to a few friends and a builder, and they all told me that's indicative of the power level and the shitty hydraulic system. I plan on upgrading to a Tick MC before spring.
If I had to do it all over again, knowing what I know now, I would probably get a Textralia. I've read nothing but good things about them, but at the time it was out of my budget. McCleod twin disc clutches are also awesome from what I've heard.

I actually have the Tick MC and i haven't noticed any problems leaving 3rd at WOT, so that may be your issue. I know that the hydraulic system sucks from the factory, it was on of the first things i changed. my issues with the clutch is that it is not very easy to drive in stop and go traffic, which i need to do alot of the time. its a great track clutch but not so street friendly

Understood. I really don't have too much first-hand experience with driving cars with other clutch manufacturers. I've had mine installed about 5 years now and never really had an issue with driving around town. That's actually mostly what I do, but I also am not putting a lot of miles on the car either and it's a weekend toy for the most part. I'm sure there are some better choices out there that hold the same or more power with better street manners. I would look into those two manufacturers I listed and see how they stack up against the ones you have posted.
I have heard of Centerforce before, but I don't recall a whole lot of people talking about them. Find any reviews online?

I had a centerforce when i bought it, then went with the LS7 setup and it couldn't hold the power. then the Spec, had that about 3 years now. the first two were ok for the street, but you get a little aggressive with them and they would over heat and slip.. I love the Spec, other than the street manors

I'm not getting a lot of good reviews as far as centerforce is considered. everyone keeps saying the same thing "how are they still in business"

Probably not a good sign then

2001 3.8 Black - sold- 2000 SS Black M6
yeah ive heard bad things about centerforce. Textralia has always had good reviews as far as i know, and handle lots of power. Spec ive heard mixed reviews.
Unfortunately, in my opinion, you're running to much power for an LS7clutch to be effective, itd work, but the peace of mind wouldn't be there. If you aren't happy with your SPEC, my next option would be Textralia

I asked this same question on LS1TECH and they are ripping apart the centerforce clutch. kinda funny.

I've done a ton of research on what clutch to buy and I concluded that the LS7 set-up is probably the best most economical for me. But once I added a aluminum flywheel it erally jacked the price up. What are your opinions on the Monster Clutch kits that come with the flywheel?

Why do you feel you need an AL flywheel?

I just thought it would free up some rotational HP. I didn't realize the whole momentum part and driveability. I think I'm gonna go with the LS7 kit and be done with it. Maybe get a new MC while I'm at it.

You are correct - while it does do just that, there are also cons to having one. Just like there are cons to owning a steel flywheel.

I talked to the guy at Monster Clutches he said for the amount of tourque Im putting out it would not be a good choice to go with a lightweight flywheel.
