Doing the swap

I am swapping out the 4l60E out of my 98z and installing a M6, and i know there is a step by step somewhere on here. I have done a search, but still can't come up with very good info. I do not wish to backwoods engineer this project, and would like it to be as clean and factory working as possible. This is where i stand right now.
I got the clutch master cylinder, foot pedals, and computer are all installed. The trans parts are together but not installed yet. I would like to know if there is a template of even a pic with measurements of the shifter hole that needs to be cut in the floor? I guess i could get close, but i would like it to be nice. There are also quite a few wires connected to the shifter inside the car on the automatic. Where do these go? There are also many different wires under the car that don't match up. Is there a sub harness for the trans alone or something? I seen a how to somewhere, but because i need it i can't find it.
