does this mean my rearend is going out??
i dunno much about the diff and pumpkin but i dunno if this is typical. notice where the pumpkin might be leaking?

nope it just means it leaking, no big deal, if ur rear end is going out you will eather be sitting some where or u will have a niose, if u want to spray it off and see how long it takes to come back if it comes back fast u might want to weld the axle tube to the diff

I agree my rear end recently went out in my 2000 ta and it was making a lot of noise before it went. which ended up being the ring and pinion gears but leaking will be fine as long as you keep an eye on the fluid level in your rear end you let it run out and then you will have a lot of problems

Could be just the pinion seal leaking and traveling all over the housing.
