cam vs. stock rear

In the next few months I will be buying the 233/239 cam from Texas speed. My question is and I know its broad but will my rear go my first run down the quarter mile? I'm running a stock 4l60e and I will not be putting slicks on. My car is in good shape and has no signs of the rear blowing but I know the cam will only speed up the ticking time bomb that is the famous Chevy 10 bolt and a 9 inch will be next on my list of things for me to do. So my question is how do u think it will hold with in a 6 month period of the cam swap and keep the racing to a minimal?

Absolutely no way anyone can tell you that as its all speculation at that point.

Being an auto will help you, but there is really no telling if it will let go coming off the line. Unless you have some crap tires that wont hook anyways.

Yea I figured as much after reading around but the plan is to put the cam in for some extra fun before I get ready to do suspension and drive train mods for my bigger build in the future but I obviously don't wanna prematurely grenade my rear before I can throw in a 9 inch
