Bouncin' off rev limiter?
I'm almost ready to get a 12 bolt, and I've heard that if I order it with 4:10's that through the traps I'll be bouncing it off the rev limiter in 4th. I was thinking that maybe I'd be better off ordering it with 3:90's. Can anyone tell me from first hand experience if this is a good combo. I have about 480HP at the crank. Stock size tires in diameter. (285/17) This is NOT my daily driver, although I'm not setting up a 1/4 mile ripper either. I lean toward the 4:10's just because I'd like the "launch" feel of 480HP, but having to hold onto 4th gear like that at the end of the quarter would be frustrating. My car does pull to 6700RPM though, so maybe......what do you guys think???
