i am going to be replacing my entire rear end and just wondering what i need to send to strange for them to take out. i know the braking plates need to go...where do i find those and how do you remove them. what else is needed for them to complete the rear end on the car...thanks...also how do you remove anything else that is need for them...fyi, the entire housing and everything is shot in the rear end that i have...

The backing plates are what the rear brake calipers tighten down to on the rear axle.
If I recall it right...the axle has to come out for the backing plate to come off.
