A4 Transmission will not shift.
I own a 2001 Formula. Procharger on the front and the 4L60E tranny is built. I FINALLY got my car back a month ago after getting in a fender bender in 2010. Was enjoying cruising aroung in her and now all of a sudden she will not go into any gear. She will shift once or twice after the initial startup, and then not shift anymore!
Has anyone had experience with this problem? If anyone is interested i have her on Ebay right now as i am out of patience - joel

Where were you hit? Near the PCM?
Did this just start happening or was it a progression from the accident?

Nope and thanks for replying. Once i got her back everything was normal until That happened. All issues i have had since i got the ProCharger have been tranny related. I believe it makes too much HP for even the built automatic tranny. If she does not sell, i will get her converted to a MANUAL with a smile on my face!

ok, now I see. Have you install a new stall converter? still running stock one?
One more thing - has it been tuned? for the new tranny?

Car was tuned with the built tranny and torque converter way back in 05/06 after the Procharger was put on. Too much for this tranny i believe, unless you don't enjoy her every once in a while! Anyone interested in a perfectly good (nonmoving) Firebird? Thamks for the replies - joel

take it to a tuner and have them reprogram the trans specs. sounds like shift pressure is way down. or the front pump is going out.
