With an auto i would go 3.73s
    Its what everyone recommends
I'm going with 3.55s next week, i'll let you know how that goes

I was just readin the same thing on the stall swaps. Was thinkn about doin a cam so it would b best to do a stall when you swap cams also. Be better to do a stall and cam is what i have been reading. 3500 stall

3.73 gears for an A4 -- that is the general consensus on here.

    Forgot to mention
If i were you i would get rid of that programmer you have
You would be better off with a mail order tune (top right of this page)
The handhelds don't come close to a custom tune

I would do the stall first. Then I would say for a 12 bolt or 9" rearend. I would not put money into 3.73's with the stock rear. Can it last sure but they tend to fail sooner or later. It also depends what you want a fun street can or a track car. You can have a low 12 second fun daily wit the stock rear and no change on the gears. Heck and if you want a 11 from time to time bottle into it.

I ran a 3500 stall and just headers for 2 years. Low 12 second car... And it did not need a cam.. I did add a cam later but a cam is not a must or a given with the 3500 stall.

I do plan on gettingrid of the programmer i want to do a few things before I do a mail order. Pretty much the only reason i brought the cam into it is because its a little more horse power and without a stall a cam wouldnt be as nice without it, and i like the sound of a mild cam just like anyone else. At this point in time im sayn forget the gears better off doin a few bolt on mods.
