If it were me, I'd try them, since they're already in !!! Hope you got the shorty shifter !!!

yeah it not my d/d so dont care about fuel mileage and i shift alot it seemed with the 4.10 i will just have to shift more i am build this 9 inch for $1400 about a thousand less then other seem to pay i am buying danny miller housing he specilize in 9 in and buy the 3rd member from a buddy save tons of money so i going with it

Maybe get an extra third member,4.56 for the 1/8 mile track, then the 4.10 for the 1/4 mile ! I have a 78 Bird, with the ford 9" and 4.56 gears. Can't wait to try them out !!!
Of coarse it has 31" x 13" tires on that one...

yea i want to get a another 3rd member it would be cool to just swap out center section one for the track on for the street all in time damn 3rd member are expensive but worth it

With a more typical 28 inch tall tire and an LS1 with a cam that is high strung I would be willing to bet the 4.56 would be a nice match at the strip.
I've seen alot of guys just go for the 4.30's and pass up the 4.10's right from the get go and it works nicely on both LT1 and LS1 cars. 4.56 isn't too much more.

True... My 98 has a moser with a spool & 4.10 gears, 28" tires...
My best ET was a 10.63 @ 126mph at 6900 rpm's...

i think it will work out ok never put slicks on the car because of the 10 bolt but now with a 9 inch with 4.56 gears that i purchase i think its time cant wait

Every rear suspension mod, anti roll / sway bar, LCA relocations.......
A lot of engine mods, heads ported, 2.02 / 1.6 valves, cam .......
150 dry shot... 4600 stall convertor, built stock 4L60e trans...ect...
A little bit at a time !!! Had the car since 99 and been modding ever since !
My new motor is 14:1 CR, but the stock bottom motor still ran high 10's !!!

thats alot of compression i guess u run race fuel that's cool I guess I am a new f body owner had 03 cobra before this car built a lot of my buddys car mostly lt1 the camaro is fun to mod I am happy with it cheap than a cobra I just want to run 10s I say that now it will be awhile

I think my best on the modded stock motor was a 10.73 on good fall air.
Still tweaking the new motor...

is it poked and stroked what's the setup on the new motor
01-18-2009, 05:30 PM #19
Stock stroke & 3.905 hone fit lunati +12cc domes with 5.3 milled, ported, and SS 2.02 / 1.6 valves. H-beam rods, & well balanced. I figured that should rev like a Kawasaki motor !!! I'm getting ready to throw in a high rpm cam. ( 4000 - 7400 )

4.30's here and I am right in the sweet spot at the track passing the line at 6550 rpm in fourth with a 26.5 tall tire with 410 RWHP. 4.56 gears will be pushing it if you have alot more horse power.
