I buddy of mine has a 9" he took out of a 1979 F150. The rear-end is recently rebuilt with a 3.55 Posi. I'm trying to figure out what all is involved so I can decide if it's worth it to buy the rear end.
I'm going to get axles to convert to the factory both pattern, do an disk brake conversion and cut my brackets and weld them on the 9". Is there an anti-roll kit to convert the torque arm or a torque arm kit to put on the 9" so I can use a tunnel mount torque arm?
I'm not sweating the traction control too much. I don't want it anyway. Would a TCM be enough to turn it off and trick the computer w/o any issues.
I do want to keep my ABS. From what I've read, since my car has traction control it has a 4-wire setup. How can I keep my ABS?Y2K SS A4 Y2Y GU5: 12.96@106-SLP FLO PAC|P&P Stock TB | Pacesetter LT's | TSP Rumbler X Duals | B&M Trans Cooler | Rear Tubular LCA's w/ Relocation Brackets | Tubular PHB | SFC's | Diablo Sport Tuning

This rear end won't work without a lot of work. ABS won't work either
