    8.8 abs

i have a 3 channel rear end in my car now im planning to build up a ford 8.8 and put it in my car. i would like to keep abs. what would i need to do to retain abs? ford calls the reluctor ring a tone wheel. are the parts interchangable or is there a way i can modify it to work?

    thanks adam

You pretty much have to take the factory ABS setup and engineer it into your 8.8 housing. You need to mount the reluctor ring and drill a hole for the sensor. The clearance between the sensor and ring needs to be very close and precise.

so would the tone ring off of the 8.8 work with the gm sensor? the tone ring is what ford calls a reluctor ring.

I doubt it. It probably has a different number of teeth on it and will cause the sensor to read incorrectly
