Yeah, you don't want to get new gears and then go "jump on it." Let them wear in for a week of daily driving before you "jump on it."

Personally, I drove mine gently for 2 weeks and then did a few quick runs and then changed the rear end gear oil. Then I drove however I wanted, but mostly stayed legal unless at a track or away from cities by more than 15 miles. It just makes sense and costs less to not get caught.

48k miles and nothing broken yet.

Well in the box with the new gears there is the install instructions. they usually have a few pictures of what the tracks of the gear are supposed to be. they also explain on how to "properly" break them in. It is usually once installed filled with fluid and anti slip lube and tested on jackstands to make sure the gears dont have any excesive wine from the get go. then driven for about 10 miles extremely nice and let cool completely. you are supposed to repeat this 3-4 times. then you can start to drive it more aggressivly. i did chang emy fluid and rechecked the contact pattern after about a week.

I got a big box sitting on my porch this morning........... Did not get a chance to open it as I was running late.

Thumbs up Keep goin for it!

    Hey Fade2 Black,

    Yeah 155 = no license
18 yrs old = more crazy now than when you are older

When I was 18, I drove everything as fast as it could go anywhere I could. Even got an 1986 chevette to hit 165 km/h .

    I am 30, just got a 2000 Z 28, I want it eventually go 200 mph!
I know what you are saying, and what you are trying to get at.

Everyone thinks I am crazy also.

Top end speed isn't for everyone, but there are sanctioning bodies and events where that stuff can be done, doing that on the highway will land you in jail or kill someone else not to mention yourself.

I agree with the whole not going to much over the speed limit. I just want to get up to the speed limit as quick as possable!

I Just got a set of 4.10's for my 02 camaro v6. I wanted to know what all I need to install them myself. Or would it be easier to send it to a shop?
