Looking at ordering a complete rearend here soon and not sure which way to go. The car I just got a month ago does have ABS and Trac Control but both are disabled and the lights stay on all the time on the dash. It is not a daily driver so if I don't use either now so why get a rearend designed for them. Plus I can save some money without them, about 250 bucks. Any suggestions or see any problems going without them? Gonna go with a 12 bolt also.

Nothing wrong with not getting a 3 or 4 channel rearend if you aren't gonna use ABS or TCS, especially since its not a street car/daily driver.

It's an A4. I am just trying to figure out if I need to spend the extra money for ABS and Trac Control if they are turned off anyway.

if you dont have them now, why would you spend the extra money?

at most if it bugs you just get the ABS

I'd keep th ABS and TCS if it were me. I've had ABS cars lock up much faster than non-ABS cars when the ABS was inoperable (almost flipped an Explorer on the interstate 14 years ago.) You can always turn the TCS off (or get a module to have it off by default), but for the sake of safety I'd keep the ABS working. Just my .02.
