Mine would stop the spin in first and then upshift to second when the TCS engaged and then downshift back to first and then re-engage when it shifted into second and started spining again.
TCS works great for wet road days but not for controlling your takeoff at WOT.

I noticed that I actually picked up a mpg or two around town with my 6 speed car and really did not notice much of a change on the highway. Having a sixth gear makes changing to a higher gear a beautiful thing!!

yeah with the six speeds 4:10s arent a big deal, my buddy has a t/a with em and its maybe two or three hundred rpms higher than mine at the same speed in any given gear
well the gas mileage isnt that much different, not sure how much difference the gears make cuz he's got other mods as well. but traction is an issue as well for him.
