3.90's are always an option if you want a little more gear. I think they would be awesome with an auto. I went against the norm and put 4.30's in with my 6 speed.

I was trying to decide between 4.56 or 4.10, but I'm thinking of doing the 4.30's too. What kind of RPM are you getting at 75 in 6th?

    Sorry for the thread jack!

Nah, 75 is cruising speed. The high highway speed part is about 95 and up.

3.73's. 4.10s may or may not get you better et's. If you can hook with 4.10s and not run out of gear at the end of the track, then 4.10s are better. But I like 3.73's because they're all around a good gear for the street and track. And when you start making big power with your motor later on you might wish you still had 3.73's.

What manufacturer makes the 3.90 set for the stock rear-end? I knew I saw them but couldn't remember who made them?

    Sadly now demodded :(

I have 3.73's in my A4 car. Good compromise between driving and racing.

Well since you said it's a daily driver there would be only one Smart choice.
    3.73 are it!

4.10's would be fine if you had a weekend warrior.
On the brand ? Just get a quality AMERICAN gear/ There are MANY out there now including Sumit ang Jegs that are a good price.
And for the others that are hi jacking your thread...... You need to know your tire dia..... http://www.angelfire.com/fl/procrastination/rear.html

4.10's aren't bad with an auto. I have them in mine. 85 mph is around 3K RPM's. First gear is useless on the street especially with a 3600 stall and street tires. Come to think about it so is second. Haven't run it at the track yet as the motor let go 3 days before I was going to take it. I'd do it again in a heartbeat if I had to do it all over again. I only drove it on the weekends but that was more because of the Headers/true duals/flowmaster 1 chambers dumped at the axle more than anything else. Cops hated it, so did anyone's house I passed by.

Yeah 4.10's aren't bad unless you are talking about your daily driver.
Most public hate 1 chambers! Even more if they are 3.5" behind a 12.5:1 Big Block.

I have Motive 3.90's in my M6 and love them, although I will definitely go with something higher when I swap to a 9" rear.

Since you have an A4 daily driver, the 3.73 should be a great fit for you. You'll definitely notice a difference when playing around on the highway. Match that with a good stall and you should post nicely improved track times.
