    2002 SS, 7.5" or 7.625" Rear?

    Which one would an '02 SS have?

    The ring gear diameter would be 7.625" in your 10-bolt.

    I always thought they were 7.5"
    My ride is a 2002 Camaro SS SLP #3296 with 30k, LTH, 3" Y, CME, Frost tune, K&N, ported TB, Blackwing lid, Bellows, MSD, Denso Iridium, and 85mm MAF, Bilsteins, Eibach springs, SLP strut brace, Adj. Panhard, TA Girdle, UMI, Pro 5.0, Nitto NT555

    I believe the carrier is 7.5" and any aftermarket gear you purchase to replace the OEM ring gear will also be 7.5". The OEM ring gear is 7.625" though.

    7.5 or 7.625. Either way they should have never been placed in a 300+ HP vehicle.
