Any 7.5"/7.625" GM ring and pinion install kit will work.

I simply ordered a pinion seal, pinion and carrier bearings for my year car (2000 Camaro). There was nothing special about them, nor was there any difference in 2 or 3 series carriers, or anything like that. I didn't use a "kit" since I already had/have a lot of stuff like shims and spacers leftover from other swaps.

For some reason, Summit shows different kits that end at the 1998 model year. I know for a fact that I ordered all bearings, seals, etc., for my car two years ago for a rear that originally came in a 95 Z. No idea what is claimed to be different from SLP, but everything is still in my car, even after swapping to a 2 series carrier and 410's for a short time, then swapping back...Everything I ever ordered, was ordered for a 2000 Camaro and never a problem with anything...

did you swap 3.42s or 3.73s or something different after those 4.10s I just hope im happy with the 3.42s, I drove a 01 SS before and it was an automatic I dont know if it had 3.23s or 3.42s but then again I didnt really get to stomp on it at all so kinda hard to compare that to my car. but i have 2.73s right now so im sure anything will be better than those

    Thumbs up

Mine stock had 323's since it's an SS.

I didn't really notice any difference when going with the 342 geared complete rear since they are pretty darn close. I only swapped because it was actually cheaper, in that case, to swap rears as opposed to swapping gears and doing a rebuild of my stock rear.

From 342 to 410 was a huge jump but the car ran absolutely no quicker or faster at the track. Only thing I accomplished was revving the crap out of the engine through the traps (6500+ compared to 5900). Senseless to run the engine that much harder if there's nothing to gain from it. Not to mention my fairly decent mileage with the 342's, turned to absolute crap with the 410's, so I went back to the tried and true 342's.

From 273's to 342's, yours will feel like a rocket, lol.

342's aren't that bad...With my 3600 stall and sticky drag radials, this happens everytime...
