    2.73 to 3.42

I want to put 3.42s in and use my same 2 series carrier, so is the 7.5 and 7 5/8 the same gear or interchangable.

    The same.

Just need to make sure that the gears ordered are for a 2 series carrier.

I used some cheapie Summit gears last time I did a gear swap in an F body, and they were surprisingly quiet and easy to setup. For $150 you can't beat them.

For 3.42 gear ratio and a 2 series carrier, you'd need:

It should either be on the carrier itself or on the axles depending on if you have traction control or not.
