If your tires hookup I doubt it will last long. Everyone will tell you on here not to try and upgrade your 10 bolt. Save you money for a 12 bolt or 9" rear end.

    Sadly now demodded :(

    2 questions:

    1. M6 or A4?

    2. Do you race the car?

Regarding #1: A4 is easier on the shock to the drivetrain than the M6. #2: If racing with an A4 it'll last but who knows how long. I've had problems but my buddies mid-11 second car has none. Luck of the draw. With an M6: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!

    Draw your own conclusions...

You'll probably be alright for the future as an A4 is considerably easier on the rear end if driven in an "adult" manner. Sticky tires and abuse though...

If you drop the clutch at high rpm too many times then, yes a bigger ring gear rear end (12 bolt {8.75" dia ring gear}, 9" {self explanatory} or the practicly unbreakable Dana 60 {9-3/8 dia ring gear}) should be in your future. Look to using a bigger U-joint (1350 style fore and aft) also.

well dumping the clutch isnt something i ever so, maybe twice in the last 18 months, and even then, its low RPM, dump the cluth, THEN stomp the gas.

are the "upgrade" rear ends mention, ...9", 12bolt, and dana - can any of these be gotten in direct "bolt-in" fashion, or are modifications required to get them to mount?

yeah ive been looking, i kind of want to go all out and get the DANA 60, lol.

i think the moser is a direct swap, the ford requires some modification, for obvious reasons. and i dont know about the DANA
