Where the heck is it ?
Need location of the fuel filter and pump for a 2002 GMC 1/2 ton PU, V6...

I think..... that they are both inside the fuel tank. I have a 2001 and 2004 suburban and last time we had them serviced they had to drop the tank to change the filter. Found out afterwards that it is not a regular service item.
I think the pump and fuel level sensor (for the dash guage) are all connected on the same unit. I'm sure someone else might confirm this. You may also want to re-post this in the GM Truck section.Erik

Black- 2007 Silverado
on your 02 the filter is inside the frame rail on the drivers side and the pump is in the tank...
