    Thermostat

    Im sitting in traffic and my truck is running hot what would be the best thermostat to use like a 185 or 180

    By running hot what do you mean? Is the guage in the red? Are you low on coolant?

    The coolant is fine its seems to be running above normal and the truck is running like shit

    Any SES lights coming on? When running like shit, is it feel like it's bogging down, is it missing, is it shaking at idle...?

    i was just wondering why not to use a lower temp thermostat and what is the best sparkplug replacement.

    Your truck isnt heavily modified or anything, so there really isnt anything to be gained going to a lower temp stat. Stay with OEM spec parts until you have a reason to switch to something otherwise. As for plugs, I would go with an ACDelco Iridium replacement plug.

    100k mile plug and it's an OE replacement.

    Ok I have had some people giving me mixed info on thermostat and as for plugs its always a toss between ac and ngk I have a buddy with a few dry similar truck and he said at a 100000 he had to service the coolant system with new stuff and the truck ran cooler so I am approaching that mark so I guess its time.

    Well next thought a very smart friends of mine said it could be clogged cats causing all the problems any thoughts on that.

    That would usually throw a SES light, and would cause the vehicle to surge and hesitate on heavy acceleration.
