But getting under it the only thing I see the same is the frame..
Not too sure then... Unless it's something only on the newer H3's... but as far as I knew... all H3's were just shells over Colorado chassis'.

Good for you though!!! 20mpg in a Hummer is damn impressive. Now start modding it and throw in a 6" lift!!!!

It's been awhile since I've been under one... we don't sell that many, so they are pretty rare rolling into the dealer. Next time I see one, I'll make it a point to do a comparison!

There's a few different versions of the Colorado (2wd/4wd, reg cab/ext cab, Z71 off road suspension... etc). There are alot similarities between the H3 and the Colorado, but also a lot of differences.
My favorite difference is the H3 brake rotors aren't trapped behind the hub like the stupid Colorado design.

Yeah I was wondering how much was the same between the two..
My younger brother has an 07 Colorado and I could'nt point out any real similarities.. Guess it depends on the options.. The transfer case for the full-time 4wd is the most massive transfer case I've ever seen on a truck/suv.. Including some of the older Chevy 3/4 ton, heavy halfs, and one-ton pickups I used to wrench on when I was younger.. It's 2/3 the size of the entire transmission.. It's just huge! lol Bigger than the entire 282 Muncie FWD 5spd I have for the project car. The pic really does'nt do its' sheer size any justice..

You're brake job just went from $300 to $700... try explaining that one to your customers! Dumb design on GM's part there.

Well you don't even have to worry about it like Colorado owners do, but you are right, they're covered 3/36 or 12month/12k if you got it certified.

My warranty is complete Bumper to bumper coverage, 5 yrs 100K from the date of purchase.. Manufacture warranty is done in ~1k or so miles.
We purchased a better warranty than GM/Hummer offered when new..lol Making certification a joke..lol

The only thing I have to worry about with my purchased warranty is oil changes, washer fluid, wipers, lamps, and tires for the next 5 yrs or 100k whichever comes first....

I can't imagine how you can even hear those tires...don't you get crazy wind noise in that thing?

I imagine right around the mirrors is a bad spot for noise.

Is that thing THAT quiet on the highway? If so I'm impressed! Great looking interior too, I like that color.

Oh, and FWIW since you didn't like my other 2 suggestions, I just remembered my dad has Toyo Open Country AT's on his '98 Ram. He likes them better than his old BFG AT's, says they're quieter and smoother. I drove it a few times since the switch, they DO seem pretty smooth.

It rolls like a caddy on the open highway.. Rides like one too.. Yes it's very quiet, till you take a sweeping bend @ normal speeds then you get an irretating repeatative noise because of the agressive sidewall shoulder and the goofy nix-matched spread between the treads there..
I can't stand the, "wawawawawa" sound they make.. Just a typical poor designed Crookyear with nylon bicycle tire cords inside.. Same as BFGarbage..

No crazy wind, but it does come in around the piller closest to the driver. Drop all 4 windows and it goes away, or put them up and run the A/C.. But being white, it's considerably cooler inside than my 01 NBM Camaro was, and far cooler than my black cars inside also.. Even in dirrect sunshine.. Not having the giant moon roof helps keep things even more quiet as well..
Put the windows up and it's super quiet inside literally like flipping a switch...
Especially when compared to my 01 Camaro..

Well Yohkahammer makes some good tires for cars and trucks imho.
Dunlop is a possibility too. Toyo makes some desent sets but I have yet to look for truck tires from them.. I have Dunlop 16 or 18 (iirc) ply's on the motor home's duelies but those are 15's.. Looking @ their 16's now..
    We'll see I guess..

I know I prolly sound like I'm bad mouthing my Camaro or 4th gens in general..
Not the intent.. Our lifestyle and way of making a living keeps us very busy most days.
Simply put, I just don't have the time the 10 yr old Camaro required nor for the project I had planned for it.. I have a 6-month project comming up on 3-yrs (FML) here in June that needs done as well..

It was a great, fun, car and we loved her..
But the old girl was getting tired, and I don't have the time she needed so we set her free...

Her chances of finding another "lover" would be better served with a new home than just sitting on my lots rotting away..
