The up graded VVT I5 is'nt as bad as the year earliers 202hp I5..
GM quotes ~247 and about the same in tq. iirc for the updated version..
I'm thinkin' that's close to LT numbers so not too shabby.. Last truck I had was an 89 full size 4x4 with 1-ton axles lol.. 350 TBI and all of 170 hp crank..lmao

Almost double the 12 hwy I got with my worn-out 3800..

18 is the average, 20-22 is'nt impossible..

Mostly it's a pavement pounder, but the Equanox is dieing, and dads newer Ranger can't climb for sheet (no lockers in any range even with the big 4.0 v6 lol) it just was'nt optioned for them I guess.. The model options on this 08 Hummer afforded me lockers in all ranges with traction control and active stability.. Climbing the steep dirt road up the mountain on the farm is like driving to the corner store for the H3 lmao..

Don't get me wrong, he gets the Ford up there but it's front axle (and bumperslol) does'nt like crossing the 2ft deep creek so much. Nor climbing up the hills with just limited slippers. It's all over the place if it's a wet climb, sometimes it will just stop and spin one front wheel and one opposite rear wheel...lol Both trucks running factory 16" 33's too..haha
