hello everyone, im looking to buy this truck, its a 03 silverado 4 doors 1500, with 6.0 motor, has 140k miles on it, clean tittle. rims and tires have around 10k miles,no leather interior, power door locks and windows, good condition inside and out the selling price is $7300 kbb value is around $8500.
do you think the price is fair? or to high? what you think bout the truck?

1500 HD, nice trucks.
As long as they weren't hard miles, it sounds pretty fair. Look over the common stuff obviously before you commit to purchase. Check all the fluids, ask for maintenance records if they have them, check rocker panel for rust etc. It's an LS based motor so they're pretty stout from the factory. Common issues on those are leaky water pumps, and warped exhaust manifolds.
Other than that, she looks nice from what the pictures show.

also if it has the hydroboost brakes...those commonly go out...check for leaking around brake booster and power steering whine...

Looks like a nice truck. Im kinda jealous. Here's a trick I learned from the last guy I sold a vehicle to. When you are ready to buy it, have him take you through emissions with it. If it passes, finish your purchase, and then you have your emissions cert in your hand, no worries. If it fails, he pays for the test, and you keep looking. That's how I am going to purchase all my used vehicles from now on.

Thanks guys.
The truck is in good condition, the truck passed the emissions.
Here in Cali is a law, the car has to pass emissions in order to be sold.
With emissions done makes me want the truck even more.
So with all that said. You guys think it's a good truck and it's a good deal?
Forgot to say. It's a 2wd

I'll ask you this, is 4wd a real deal breaker for you?
Would you actually use it or is it just an option you'd like to have?

Don't really need the 4x4. It just would be a plus if it had it.
I plan on going out to have some fun on the mud!
I'll be picking it up tomorrow! One question, what gas mileage should I expect on this truck? It's a 6.0
Don't know the size tires on the truck.
Thanks guys!

13-14 city is not bad. If I could get that.
18 highway is not bad either.
That's kinda what I was expecting.
Truck needs some help, wash the carpet, exterior detail stuff like that.
They have service records done to it
I really hope I make a good decision!

Ok, the 1500HD frame is the same frame as used in the standard 2500 (light duty) truck frame. The 2500HD and 3500HD use a taller frame. Yes, it's confusing... the 2500 and 2500HD are two different frames. The 1500HD also has a smaller rear axle than a 2500HD. I'm not sure about spring rates, but I doubt the 1500HD has the same springs as a 2500HD.

ok guys, thanks for the help. so this was kinda confusing to me, i was so happy to buy this truck, but i found out that i had to expect 11/13 mpg on the highway, so city should be around 9mpg lol?
i love this truck, i dont wanna tow anything, i just need it to drive it once in a while, is it true that this trucks get that horrible gas mileage?
so is this truck heavier than a regular 1500?
sorry if it takes me a while to understand this lol
