LQ4 max egt
I have a 2005 GMC with a 6.0 and a STS turbo system running 7 psi of boost. For this engine what is the maximum egt you would be comfortable seeing for short term and for long runs up hills( 1 to 2 minutes). According to my wide band O2 I am at about 11:1 fuel ratio. The predetor programmer says the is no knock retard on the timing, and the exhaust temp is 1500 F. Safe or flirting with disaster.
Thank

I am pulling a 30 foot camp trailer, 2 ATV's and other assorted camping gear. The total weight is about 10,000 lbs.

I find the numbers...
Now the book states you could be in the range of 1250 to 1800F.
But normally the performance engines are within 1350-1550F...
Now if your headers are glowin after an empty run, fix the fuel / timin...
