You can get a 1/2 ton w a 6.2 it was a 6.0 before it's the vortex max I just recently sold an extended cab 5.3 new body 07 model with the edge evolution programmer and I'm sure it woulda kept up with a 6.0 half ton I beat hemis by 4-5 lengths even with them having programmers but I'd say atleast get an extended cab you'll be happy with it

After a couple of false starts with photobucket I think that I got it, here is the picture of my new truck:

It has the Z71 appearance package on it which gives it the Black front end with the chrome grill inserts.

I don't think that the Z71 package comes with bigger bushings because it sits at the same height that my co-workers stock 2008 Chevy crew cab 2 wheel drive pickup sits. Now the bump stops are different and it does have the rancho shocks.

Well I am off to go tag it and setup an appointment to get a bed liner sprayed in.

    Thanks

Quick question for you guys. I've had several duramax diesels and am very familiar with the engines and transmissions. I recently bought a 2006 Chev 1500 with a 6.0 Vortex Max engine. Can anyone tell me what GM rates that engine for HP and torque? Thanks appreciate the help. Totally out of my element with gassers, but it's a nice little truck, wished it got as good a gas mileage as my diesel does. Subman.

Probably should have made your own thread... but... :

    Vortec max 6.0 = 345hp and 380 ft-lb of torque.
