How do you change the transfer case fluid?
Does anyone have a write-up on how to change the transfer case fluid on a 04 Sierra Z71. If so you would be a big help.
Thanks,
Ryan

Yeah I thought of doing that but I don't feel like creating a new profile on a new forum.

Fairly straight forward. Remove the bottom drain plug and let the fluid drain out. May help to remove the fill plug to help it drain quicker. Once it's empty tighten the drain plug (NOTE: they don't go in all the way. Pay attention to about how far out they're sticking to begin with) It's easiest to get a piece of tubing that'll slip on to the end of the transfer case fluid bottle and squeeze it into the transfer case that way or use a suction pump/gun.
Once the fluid starts pouring out the top hole it's full and just reinstall the fill plug. Easy as that but it's messy.
