Help with the Avalanche
So my truck (2002 Chevy Avalanche 2wd) is giving me a slight popping noise when I turn either a full 90 degree turn left or right. It doesn't do it all the time but I've heard it a few times now. I don't feel it on the steering wheel or the floor board, any ideas what it could be? I was thinking tie rod ends or something similar but I took a look at them and while they do look beat, I don't think they are that bad to be doing a popping noise just yet. I know I should probably replace them but being our only vehicle right now and not having many tools at my hand right now I don't wanna try and do something that I can't handle in apartment parking lot with basic tools I can get pics later today of the underside if you guys want but suggestions on what to look at would help me, thanks fellas

Bright Red- 1998 Camaro Z28
Its a 2wd with solid rear axle....where are these cv joints ? I have a 2003 4x4 Avalanche if you check a avalanche forum you will see there is a tsb or recall for body/frame mounts or something that needs welding. Ours does it too but all recalls have been done on it, i have to find time to look it back up in the forum and hunt problem down.

There are no constant velocity joints on a full size GM 2wd truck..
Check out your ball joints too

Yeah, I reached that conclusion last night when I started doing some research... I was so excited to find something that I could replace and then I thought to myself "wait... wait... my truck shouldn't have those! Fuck me." I'll take a look at the balljoints too.
Another detail, the truck does have 22 inch wheels so I know those take a toll on the suspension over time. If that brings up any other weak points.

That's what I get for a late night post after a long hot day. My apologies.

Strut mounts or what some people call, "pillow bushings"
