red- 2004 Silverado
engine swap
My truck is a 2004 Silverado with 4.8. Engine which went bad, I bought a 5.3 Gen IV engine. Problem is with the cam sensors. New engine has sensor in timing cover, also rear of intake(lower cover) the plug is different. any help? Thanks

Just a question here, Why would you buy a 5.3 when you had a 4.8 and not buy the engine harness and pcm with it?

swap parts from old to new motor you said it's a gen iv does it hav dod ? if so you will need harness and pcm to make it work . might be better to buy a similar year motor instead and if your swaping go for the 6.0l lot's more performance options
If speed kill's do brakes give life ?
