Cams and Heads HELP
Hey everyone im new to this site and i hope i picked the right category for this anyways,.,, I have my Stock Silverado SS with only one upgrade on it (Full Magnaflow Exhaust Kit)... Im looking on what ill need to have done with my truck if i get A nice big cam with some heads, mostly looking into Performance, money isn't a problem. This is my everyday to work truck and i don't race it at all. So if you guys could help me out with what kind of cam and heads i should have and what i need to support them i would HIGHLY appreciate it. THANKS GUYS

Just start looking around. A lot of the LS parts will work in the LQ9 so the aftermarket is there and pretty inexpensive. The cam will depend on what you want it to make. If you go larger, you'll probably have to put a bigger stall converter in. The heads, you have hundreds of choices with those.

Are those truck's equipped with the 4l80's or the 4l60's?

I'm not sure, I've never looked into it since my SS is all stock... you'll have to call around for prices, or try to find a 4l80 for sale. Originally Posted by fatslayer
