5.3L swap into k1500
I am wanting to swap the L31 out of my 97K1500 and put in a 5.3 liter. I have been looking around and I know I can get one from a junkyard for around $500+. I have also found a complete drivetrain with the computer, 4l60e trans, transfer case, and complete engine from a 2008 van with the flexfuel 5.3 for a little under $4000. Assuming I go with something like the newer engine, is there a conversion for the throttle? I know the new GM trucks don't have the gas pedal hard wired to the engine anymore. Or would I even have to worry about it with all the electronics gear? Thanks ahead of time for any info.
