1990 sierra dash light trouble

I recently put a cd player into my 1990 sierra and several days later I noticed that when I turn on the parking lights or headlights, the dash lights do not come on no matter what you do. When I turn on either the parking lights or headlights my Air conditioner display goes off also. Does anyone know what is messed up and what I have to replace to get my dash lights working again?

Sounds like a loose wire behind the stereo. Did you use a harness adaptor?

yeah, I used a wiring harness to hook up the cd player with.
