Jaguar 5.3L v-12
My boss just got a 1985 Jaguar with the 5.3L V-12, and I was just wondering what kind of HP does it have and how fast they are. Of course I've already been saying how bad I'll smoke him....I hope.

Just race it, you would win, jags were not fast old or new compared to any LS1

I had a guy in a jaguar pull up next to me once, it wasnt even the sporty version it was some 4 door sedan with a 6 cylinder in it and he was talking all the shit to me at the stop light like i would blow your doors off and shit but he wouldnt race me and his excuse was you have to be able to aford a jaguar to race one, i said buddy in 19 with a 15,000 car and your 40something with a bald spot driving a 20,000 dollar car talking shit to teenagers. So then i just smoked the tires through the intersection and got the last laugh cause you know i got dust on his bald spot, hes probably still polishing that bitch.

Sounds like an XJ12 or XJS... The LS1 is faster in the quarter mile. If it's the XJS, they were ranked as the fastest automatic transmission car in the world in 1981 at 168 mph. By 1985 XJS HEs were ranked by Road & Track as one of the worlds 10 best supercars with a top speed of over 180 mph...
These cars were not made for drag racing, they are made for cruising at over 150 mph. More of a collector car than something you want to run the piss out of.

In 1968 the XKE could do 180+ although it was shaped like the wing of a plane and at 180+ the front would start to lift off the ground.
