Advice on a new DD
I was wondering if you guys could give me an insight on a new DD. I'd like to get something for under $3000 and probably american because it will be newer and cheaper than an import in the same class. I'd prefer a stick but i'd settle for an auto and it NEEDS a CD player lol. My mom's friend offered to sell me her 1991 Audi Quattro w/ 5 spd and lots of maintenance work done to it for $3K but i'd rather have a newer car. what do you guys think??

I just bought the 97 GMC Jimmy in my sig for around $2800, it has 144k on it, not a great looking car, but it runs and will be better on gas, somewhat. You just have to go out and look. Its what I did, lots of Craigslist and dealers lists looking and calling people. There is something out there, you just need to find it and know where to draw the line.

I'd go for an older car with lower mileage than a newer one with higher miles.
And for about $100 you can put an aftermarket CD player in just about any car.

You could find a Cavalier or smaller car in good shape with lower miles for that price. Lots of beaters out there!
It's not how fast you can go. It's how fast you can get there.

Wanting a stick and being american will be harder. Usually only available in small cars like a cavalier. A malibu or impala should be fairly cheap. V6 and decent mpg.
