    Question ls1 info PLEASE

    i have an ls1 from a 1999 - 2000 corvette and i need all the drive accessory brackets and coils and the wiring and a throttle body i waw wondering what all parts would fit like would a gto ls1 brackets and accessory fit? i am planning on putting it in my 1972 vista cruiser wagon and i was also wondering opinion on if i should just forget the electronic fuel injection and carb it,? i am somewhat concerned with gas mileage more than power its a 4200 pound car power is not my grand scheme for the swap. also does anyone know where i can purchase used stock stuff like coils and the accessory brackets? thanks much. aren

    My recollection is that they have three basic configurations for the accessory drive. You'll need to determine which one will fit best for your setup. I would start with the LS Swap Guide which you can find on Amazon -- that will answer a lot of your questions.

    like jeff said. i believe there are 4 set up's truck, suv, gto and the ls1. ls1 works on most cars, because the bracket and alternater is low. for the truck and suv the brackets are up high and most of the time don't clear the hood.
    if you need some more info pm me. i have done a good amount of reach on this because i plan to do this swap in my monte ss.

    Isn't the vette's alt high on the driver side?
