A-Body 4 wheel disc brake conversion.
I have a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle 2 Door with 4 wheel drum brakes. I want to do a full 4 wheel disc brake conversion. Is it possible to use the 4-pistons brakes off a C3 Corvette? If so what parts do I need buy for the swap. Do I need to modify anything? What are other good inexpensive conversions good for my Chevelle?

We have both a C3 and a '70 A-body so I am familiar with both -- my guess is that unless you find a conversion kit that will mount the Corvette calipers it is not going to happen. You are probably better off going with a standard conversion kit rather than trying to fab something. I may have some pics on my computer of both that will show the differences.

The Corvette restoration pre-dated my digital camera purchase, so I only have a pic from a distance of the front setup. The close up of the rear was quite recent as I had a leaky caliper and had to replace them a few months ago.

Damn... those kits are pricey. I never really looked at them before to see what all came in the package.
