z06 cam, which pushrods to use???

Stock bore,stroke,1.7 ratio rockers(harland's), ls6 heads. SDPC call's for the ls-6 cam to be used with 7.450 pushrods on stock ls1 heads. I will be using the ls6 heads.
Oh and uh, I know that pretty much none of you guys like this cam so let's not bash me for buying one. I am going to be building up a turbo system and I thought this would be a good cam for the project.

It isn't that we don't like the cam...it just doesn't work well for most applications. Including boosted apps. I understand price, but there are cams out there made for turbo apps. And they will increase your power once boosted.

    Anyways...
    Do you have the cam??
I can't imagine the base circle is different than the stock LS1 cam...but it might be.
If it is the same...7.400" pushrods as long as you are running OEM lifters.
    What lifters?

We just typically look at the cam as not being worth the money. Generally, there are cams out there that will serve a better purpose for what most people are looking for at a cheaper price. And Luos is right, there are cams out there specifically made for boosted applications that will provide better gains than a stock cam.

I bought the cam pretty much brand new. I will be running the Comp Cam o.e. hyd. pro mag lifters.

To answer your question, you should be fine with stock length pushrods. I have seen SS Camaros pickup some decent gains with just adding this cam and it is not the perfect cam for a FI setup, but it will work.
