Will this staggered rim set work?

I emailed a very prestine member of ls1.com but incase he cannot return my message I would like to ask the group as a whole.
I want to have 275 tires on the front but realized that 8" wheels aren't big enough. And i wanan go 18's but the rim I want doesn't come 18*9 only 18*10. So heres my thoughts...

    17*9 in front with 275/40/17(or 30/35)
18*10 in the back with 315/30/18

Is this a possible stagger? Or will it mess up my handling/driveability/car etc?

    18x10 on all four corners?

The front has more room for a wider tire than the rear.

May wanna PM a mod of this section and ask them to slip it over to the wheels/tires section as well.

Many ultra high performance cars, such as the Vette, Viper, some Porsches, etc., use a staggered arrangement. I use a staggered setup on my 2005 GTO and it works well. I have 17"X8" wheels with 245/40 tires in front and 18"X9" wheels with 275/35 tires in the rear. You just have to be sure that the tires heights are not too different or you might confuse the ABS system. If the difference between the front tire height and rear tire height is less than one inch, you will probably be ok.

it will work fine but like mr.luos sead you can go 18x10 all the way around. like what the other member sead just make sure the tire hight is the same if you go with that set up.
