I plan on replacing the valvesprings every 15K miles.
why is that? do the valve springs go quickly with your cam?

Could you imagine inching along in traffic with one of those monsters? It would get old quick.
man, that blows I have the same cam as Curtis and i just got my 408 from tsp about a week ago and wanted to drive it three times a week and was wondering how traffic was going to be?

How often do you need to change out your valve springs? I have the same cam as Curtis in a 408?

They just start to wear down after time.
I am changing them early at 15K miles.
I don't know if I would want to go any longer than 20K miles without changing them out.

Dam, wish I would have know that a little sooner, dam myself for being so greedy... I talked with bobby who leaves up here in Greeley and says hi by the way(he has the 1994 Red and Black z28)... He is my neighbor.

I drove my MS3 cammed 4.10 geared 3600 stalled Z28 quite regularly (to work on the weekends and any errand I could find). Sure it did not like to be in overdrive doing 30 or below but other than that it was fun. It's fun turning heads in a loud lumpy ass cammed Car. It was fun pulling up next to ricers or GT's and watch them sloop into their seats or see everyone at the gas station turn their heads like. Even on a 114 the MS3 has a mean idle.

i have the LS6 swap... so i'll hand port and polish my intake and exhaust on the heads... as for the tr230... i looked it up...

    99-TR230/224-111 Thunder Racing Custom Camshaft
"Reverse Split" - 230/224 .575/.563 111 LSA 2200-6800 RPM Power Band. Excellent mid-range & high RPM power. Automatic cars require computer tuning and it is recommend for optimum results on manual transmission cars . Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended.
