Whining noise from exhaust, low oil pressure

So here goes my second thread, and it's not what I really wanted to be asking about.

Today on my way home from work I noticed that my oil pressure was low. It was hovering around the 20 mark on the gauge. I look at my gauges on a regular bases and it is generally around the 40 mark at idle so this was obviously lower. I parked it for a little bit and checked the oil level and all is well. So I went back after several hours to see if the oil pressure would come back up and sure enough it did. But then I started to hear this whining noise come only from the exhaust. It was not coming from under the hood or anywhere else, only from the back. I shut it off and started it again to see if the noise was still there and it was. I shut up off and started it a third time to see what it would do with some throttle but the noise went away. I am leaving it alone for the rest of the evening, but I was just curious if anyone has any ideas as to what this could possibly be. I really didn't want to tear into the motor this soon into my ownership of the car, but this doesn't sound good. The car has 53,000 miles on it if that matters at all.

If you're driving your car for a good amount of time, it's normal for the oil pressure to drop because the oil thins with heat. My car has gotten that low before during the summer in red light to red light traffic. As far as the noise, think the curiousity of your oil probably made you look for something wrong. I wouldn't worry too much if its not leaking and the car seems to be in good mechanical shape.
