whats the best sleeper camshaft

whats the best cam u can buy if you want to have a sleeper that also will work good on the nitrous and have good driveablity i will be using the prc heads from texas speed more than likely and if yall can give me some info on those head will be good to

a cheater3 cam.at another forum a guy was using stock exhaust and ran 12.2 with this cam. With NOS he ran 11.6.

just about anything with a high lsa. check specs on the cams and the lsa listed will give you an idea of how mellow they are at idle. 114 and higher will give a smoother idle the higher the number is. the lower will give more of a chop at idle like old school muscle cars. as far as if it works with nitrous i dont know if certain cams like blower style cams work better with nitrous over strong n/a cams.

Normally a higher lsa works better with nitrous or blower. It gives broader torque range.

No. It is the overlap which determines the lope of the camshaft and hence the stealth or noise factor.

Factory LS1 camshaft has -26 degrees overlap.
LS6 camshaft has -23 GT2-3 about the same.
All are about 117-8 LSA

But you can also have a 112 degree with -12 degrees overlap and ideal smoothly.

Close to 0 degrees, more chop.
