    whats the best?

I just bought a 99 a4 z28 and I want to make it the meanest thing on the street but still be a daily driver. I was thinking of beefing up the engine (cam, heads, maybe crank) and a sts turbo. what would be the best way to go to keep it a daily driver and not worry if anything pulls up to me at the light.

Heads and a cam, but if your making it a daily driver your going to want to stay away from a big cam. since its an A4 go ahead and plan on getting 3.73s and a stall...im not sure of how high of a stall to get since i have a M6 but im sure sumone here can help u out on that 1. a STS turbo would be wicked

Don't bother with the turbo, it's just more work than it really seems. A custom taylored camshaft, along with you're stock heads (albeit, being worked over)... along with some good supporting mods (intake, exhaust, stall), and you'll be right where you want to be. Providing you can hook up all of that new-found power.

a turbo with a stall and some worked heads can be very mean even at some lower boost levels but if you want super stupid fast just open your wallet and anything can happen

so far i have done a flowmaster catback and a K&N FIPK which is pretty basic I thing most guys with a f-body do that first, what would be the next thing? what kind of power do you think I am making now with the two mods that I have so far?

    Maybe 10hp over stock.

Basically, you should decide your goals, and budget, then decide which direction to go with mods.

Are you modding all at once, or gradually?

Perfect example..... Heads/cam needs longtube headers.
    Turbo does NOT.

Most people go forced induction OR heads/cam. In the end, they both cost you about the same. With ALL the supporting mods (bolt ons, suspension, rear/drivetrain) you'll easily spend $8-10k when all is said and done.

If you want a turbo AND heads/cam..... better plan on spending $12 or more.

That's NOT including installation prices. Add a few grand for that if you aren't doing the work yourself.

isnt the flowmaster exhaust really restrictive? thats what ive heard. if it is u should get a true dual setup and run it with Dynomax bullets. sounds great and you will pick up gobs of torque

with his basically stock engine right now if he switches over to true duals he will actually lose some low-end torque.right??
