what should be done at @ 204,000 miles
My car is my daily driver and i dont plan on purchasing any other vehicle until i finish school in 2 years. (i'll keep this one when i do) But unfortunately its been my daily driver since 2003, and i've racked up 204,000 miles. She has been running like a champ with the normal tlc (oil changes/tranny fluid changes/ regular tune ups) But is there anything that i could do/should be doing to prevent any future problems with this many miles? or just stick to what i already doing and wait till she bites the bullet?

Other wear items with higher mileage: Shocks, suspension bushings, balljoints, tie rods, u-joints and idler pullies. All of these should give some sign of failing though before a real problem develops. Congrats on a true high miler.

I just try to go with American Made when I parts shop. Getting damn difficult to do though. If your just looking to keep the car on the road - stock replacement for most items would be fine. Investing a few more dollars in the shocks is probably worthwhile though.

I'm there, hit 160k over the weekend.... I am doing basically the same as Joshie, replacing one piece at a time til she quits, for the most part.
