With the size of the exhaust duration, the torque number will probably be significantly lower than that though.

Are you joking? He doesnt really have anything else done to the car except headers. He still needs an intake, exhaust, ported TB,under drive pulley, oil pump etc...

You should be more than happy with 370 rwhp. (If you even get that)

Gears reduce hp not increase it. The higher the gear, the more hp it eats up.

Lower gears you mean. (higher #'s = lower gear)

But I do agree. In no way does gearing the rear end increase hp. It may not eat up much, unless you actually swap the crap shoot 10bolt for a larger rear axle, then you're losing hp due to parasitic loss.

he doesnt need a udp, or a oil pump...nor do those really add that much power ...the same goes with a ported tb ...all added up might be 10 to the floor and that is being generous.

however 400 might be generous ..i see 390 not out of the realm of possibility on a dynometer

Oil pump wont do anything, but a ported TB and an underdrive pulley will help (even if he does gain 10hp, thats still a decent amount of power for around $250). The main things holding him back are an LS6 intake and a catback/duals.

OP, install the cam the way the car sits and get back to us.
