    what heads cam intake and stall to get???

    ok the insurance company is replacing my mom dd motor with a junkyard motor with the same miles. so while its out im going to have the shop put heads, cam, headers and a stall in it. im looking to get the most out of it but still have it as a dd for my mom i dont want to go any higher then a 2500 stall. thanks for the help guys

    If you want it to still be a DD and have road manners, the cam you should get should be small enough that you won't need new heads. That would save you money right there.

    people say i dont want to go over 230@.050 to keep it a dd is this true??

    nothing over 230 for DD.

    as for stalls, get the tci 3000 streetfighter, it drives like stock and gives great results at the track.
    anything below 3000 rpm stall speed is a waste and you wont get the full performance out of youre set up.

    nhraformula is right. 2500 is way to low. I have a 3200 fuddle and love it. I could barely tell a difference in just driving around. Unless of course you get on it.

    ok im think im going to go with a comp cam 224/230, ls6 intake, 3000 stall with some long tubes what kinda long tubes are good is it true that the un coated ones will rust???

    All longtubes will rust, except for stainless steel. But those are the most expensive you can get. Most people like pacesetter for the price, but Kooks and QTP are some of the highest quality you can get.

    what are the hp differances in the headers??? are the ss auto chrome headers any good??

    all long tubes make the same power.
    non SS headers will last a long time.

    The QTP's are probably the most expensive but 1.They are stainless and they are not going to rust out on you. 2. They are awesome as far as the power gains go. They have merge collectors inside. 3.They fit nice.
