What direction should I go?
Here's what I got. A 350 4 bolt main and a 400 4 bolt main motors with good forged cranks, just need to be rebuilt. Should I just rebuild them or swap cranks and make two strokers, a 383 and a 377 from the 400 block. I am looking to get around 300 to 350 bhp at the flywheel. I can do the 383 for pretty cheap using the parts I already have, but the 377 will cost more because I need to buy rods. These are not going to be at high rpms all day long, just street driving and maybe a little racing. The 383 would go in a 67 c10 pickup and the 377 would go in my 83z. I am not looking to spend a ton of cash on this project either. I have sort decided that if I go the stroker route, that the 377 for the camaro will get good aluminum heads, big cam, good rods, etc.. trying to get around 450 horse. It will just take longer to same money, thats all.
