    What cam+Tune

Current mods, Long tube headers, high flow cats, magnaflow cat back. 78mm throttle body, ts lid, plugs, wires, big ram air, 3.73 gears 3500tci stall, SLP Subframe connectors/ BMR lower control arms, BMR larger sway bar, BMR adjustable torque arm, tunnel brace, drag bags. Mickey Thompson ET drags. Ran a 12.416 at New England Dragway. 60ft 1.734, 1/8 7.893. 1/4 12.416 at108.85 MPH. I will be doing heads, cam, oil pump, Ls2 timing chain and pullies in the next few weeks or so. I was thinking of going through Texas Speed for everything, Precision 2.5 heads ms3 or 4 cam. Since this is not a daily driver any thoughts on the cam choices.Only put about 3k a year on the car. I will also need a great tune. Best place to get a mail tune to get me close? What kinda times should I see in 1/4mile with an aggresive cam and heads?. Thank

Honestly dont getta mail tune. Just travel a little bit farther and get a nice dyno tune. You spent all that $ on parts, so y wood u try to save a couple hundred on the tune. Its crutial to get a good tune to adj fuel maps, curves etc... As far as times go, you ran 12.4 with bolt ons only. So with an MS4 which is a NASTY and rude cam, along with good heads, low-mid 11's.

nelsons performance they are a sponsor, heard that dude can flat ass tune. I would go with the MS4 over the MS3 just my personal preference, like said before I would look for low 11's maybe even high 10's with 90/90 combo along with your new cam and heads.

    Tune

Just need to find someone in New England that can tune an LS1. All speed shops in my location only handle the little 4 bangers. I am having the work done locally and I am not sure if I would be able to drive it without some kind of tune. I thought a mail tune would at least get me close. Anybody out there from Mass or NH have any thoughts? Thanks for the reply!

I heard the MS4 in person at a local meet/cruise. I also think the guy had AFR chambered heads to. It was on a 00 WS6 m6 and it sounded MEAN.

I was thinking of going through nelsons due to all the reply's I got when I was asking questions about their mail order tune and the fact they will ship a tuned pcm to you and you send your stocker back after you install the new one so no down time. Of course you only have a limited time to ship your stocker back though. I just heard alot of good things about Nelson and it was going to be more convient for me at the time. Havent heard much about PCM 4 less but another place i have heard some good stuff about was Madz28.com

    Tune Prices

Checked out Madz28.com, now its called MadTuner.com. Prices are great and it looks like he has done quite a few tunes. Turn around time might not be as quick as Nelsons but for half the price I will wait a day or two. Thanks for the info!
